Farnham Neighbourhood Plan
Farnham Neighbourhood Plan
Under the Localism Act of 2011, Farnham gained the right to draw up its own Neighbourhood Plan, setting out policies for developments in and around the town. Previously, planning and development had been the responsibilty of Waverley Borough Council.
Farnham Town Council worked with local resident and interested parties to draft the Plan. It was put to residents in a referendum in 2017 where it received overwhelming support. Following some amendments, a further referendum was held in 2020, once again the Plan received the overwhelming support of residents.
