Farnham has a long background in craft and the arts. The town and surrounding countryside is currently home to a wide range of craft makers from the local to the internationally renowned.

With a strong background in the field, as well as a very active current range of makers and independent businesses, Farnham was designated by the World Crafts Council as a “World Craft City” in early 2020 making it England’s first.

Its University Town and new Craft City status add to the attraction of Farnham not just as a special place to live but increasingly as a specialist destination to visit bringing in tourists on an increasingly wide basis.
