Redevelopment of the site between East Street and Dogflud Way
A residential development on the Centrum business park

The Farnham Neighbourhood Plan (2020) identifies a number of sites for new housing. One is the Centrum Business Park (FNP Policy 14j) to give approximately 150 apartments. The site (outlined in red below) forms part of the island enclosed by East Street and Dogflud Way, and comprises the area currently occupied by the Phyllis Tuckwell warehouse, the now vacant Ash Vale Furnishing store and the MOT test centre.

Other parts of the island, comprising the cottages and former Kar Ling Kwong restaurant at the north east corner, and the Lidl store and dentist at the western end, are under separate ownership and do not form part of the current redevelopment project. However, it is possible these additional parts might be redeveloped at some tie in the future.
The site is brownfield, with a hard surface and little vegetation. Trees and bushes surrounding the site are on the highways, hence the responsibility of SCC. The site slopes, with Dogflud Way outside the leisure centre some 6 metres lower than East Street.
